Assembly Technician II, part-time


Overview

Under general supervision, performs assembly of more complicated subassemblies and assemblies including preparation of parts, actual assembly, testing, calibration and packaging of the product to customer and government specifications. 

 

Note : Length of assignment is subject to change, based on performance and business conditions. 

 

 

Location:

  Domestic  - Georgia

Description

Utilizes documentation such as assembly drawings, Bills of Material and routings to assemble product. Perform soldering, fabricating, crimping, mechanical assembly. Self inspects work throughout the assembly process.  Lift 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basis. 

 

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or education/experience equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE:   3 - 5 years electro-mechanical assembly experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:   Basic computer skills. Must be able to read & interpret assembly drawings & calibration procedures. Must understand basic theory of operation & operating software for two to four product lines, be able to recognize symptoms during calibration & test on those products, interpret those symptoms & troubleshoot less complex to moderately complex problems on those products.
