GHS Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

ANNOUNCEMENT – Due to the global regulatory change requirement on Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Micromeritics is now observing the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification of Chemicals. While the format and symbols have changed on each of our Safety Data Sheets (SDS), the content of the chemicals have not.

In some cases, there may be a change in a part number, please be advised, the chemical makeup of the material has not changed. During our transition to the new GHS Safety Data Sheets, we took the opportunity to consolidate materials with multiple volumes into one SDS. For example, the Material Reference Alumina material originally had 3 independent MSDS’ representing three different volumes. There is now one SDS representing this material in all 3 sizes. We have made every effort to ensure that when a product is purchased that requires an SDS, a current cross referenced SDS will be generated and sent with the material.

These MSDS document changes are due to the global regulatory change requirement on new Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Micromeritics is now observing the new Globally Harmonized System of Classification of Chemicals. While these new documents are significantly different in both appearance and symbols than the old MSDS version, the content of the chemicals listed on each SDS remain the same.
