Educating, Strengthening and Building Relationships in a Growing Pharmaceutical Market in India - 4/01/2015
A thirteen series seminar presented by Myke Scoggins, Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist, was held throughout India to bring awareness about Materials Science solutions to preformulations, formulations and drug delivery with a QbD Perspective.
The seminar series is devoted to providing education and exchanging new information on a variety of topics that included particle size, particle shape, surface area, porosity, density and zeta potential as they relate to preformulation and formulation development in the pharmaceutical area, including nanoformulations. Other lectured topics included Quality by Design and Process Analytical Technology.
The seminars were held at businesses that are among the top 10-15 pharmaceutical companies in India, universities, and an international conference with attendees ranging from scientists, directors, research scholars, students and faculty.
With the growing pharmaceutical industry presence in India, Micromeritics is dedicated to expanding educational awareness and building relationships to support the advances of material science solutions.
Dr. Myke Scoggins earned his BS in Microbiology from the University of Georgia and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Mercer University. He has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry including analytical chemistry, preformulation, formulation, process development and validation, scale-up, tech transfer, and manufacturing support. Currently, Dr. Scoggins holds the position of Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist working both internally and with external partners on applications and support for Micromeritics’ instrument lineup as they relate to the pharmaceutical industry
