Micromeritics Sponsoring Scientific Conference at the University of Missouri, Titled Adsorption at the Nanoscale: A New Frontier in Fundamental Science and Applications - 9/09/2011
On September 22 – 24, 2011, Micromeritics will be participating as a sponsor of an important scientific conference at the Columbia campus of the University of Missouri, Adsorption at the Nanoscale: A New Frontier in Fundamental Science and Applications. As the title suggests, the focus of this conference lies at the convergence of basic science and applications. This workshop will provide a unique opportunity for a diverse group of leading scientists and engineers with very different backgrounds and orientations to share ideas and form new collaborations. Topics include characterization and optimization of the pore structure of hydrogen and methane storage materials, phase transitions in adsorbed systems, and compliant materials such as metal organic frameworks (MOFs) where the host medium reacts to the presence of the adsorbent.
In business since 1962, Micromeritics has provided materials characterization instrumentation and applications support to most of the world's top industrial companies and academic institutions for fundamental research, product development, quality assurance and control, production, and process control applications. In addition to sponsoring the event, a Micromeritics scientist, Jacek Jagiello, will deliver a technical presentation.
