Mr. Warren P. Hendrix, president and 1962 co-founder of Micromeritics Instrument Corporation, passed away on May 27 at the age of 73. Since its founding, the company has achieved world-wide recognition as the premier supplier of high-quality instrumentation for the physical characterization of fine particles.
Succeeding Mr. Hendrix as president is his son, Preston Hendrix, assisted by recently named executive vice president, Jeanne Thomas. Prior to his death, the elder Mr. Hendrix bolstered the core management group by reassignment of current management responsibilities and by recruiting needed talent from outside the company.
“The management team remains strong and the direction of the company has not changed,” states Dr. Clyde Orr, co-founder and chairman of the board of directors. “We remain committed to providing our customers with the same superior products and supporting services that have distinguished Micromeritics in the field of particle science and technology.”
