Texture of Heterogenous Catalysts Webinar: Surface Area and Porosity

May 5, 2008

Visión general

Why is heterogeneous catalysis important? How does it enable faster, large-scale production and selective product formation?

Listen to what Dr Luca Lucarelli, Technology Application Consultant with Micromeritics and highly experienced in the field of catalyst characterization, has to say about key techniques in catalysts characterization. See how basic characterization of catalysts is of fundamental importance to control production quality, evaluate their lifetime, and/or possible regeneration forecast of catalytic behavior and performance.

Luca Lucarelli, PhD

Senior Application Scientist

Luca graduated from Milan State University in 1988 with a degree in Industrial Chemistry, focusing on heterogeneous catalyst characterization by adapting a commercial physisorption instrument into a static-manometric chemisorption unit. Before joining Micromeritics as a Senior Application Specialist in 2019, he held various positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific. With over 35 years of experience, Luca is an expert in material and catalyst characterization techniques such as physisorption, mercury porosimetry, gas pycnometry, chemisorption, and temperature-programmed techniques.
